How this format works
The whole day in Morning, Afternoon and Evening sections with big picture cards. Best for younger children.
- Hang it low enough for your child to see
With checkboxes on, mark each card when it is done. With cut-out cards on, cut along the dashed lines and move finished cards into the Finished area.
How this format works
A vertical timeline with start (and optional end) times, breaks set apart. Best when the day runs on the clock.
- Post it where the day happens
Breaks and meals are set apart from scheduled activities. Add an end time only where it helps; nothing needs a duration.
- Cut along dashed lines
How this format works
Cut-out cards of every activity for a pocket chart or the fridge.
One card per task, all the same size. Cut along the dashed lines.
- Cut out the cards
Each card is 2½ × 2½ inches (6.4 cm).
Daily Schedule — first / then board
Cut out the board. Attach hook-and-loop dots, such as Velcro® dots, inside each pocket and on the back of every card; the cards are the same size as the Task Cards.
How this format works
Show just the current activity and the next one when the whole day is too much.
Task 1 sits under FIRST and task 2 under THEN. The cards on the following pages stick to the two pockets with hook-and-loop dots, such as Velcro® dots.
- Cut out the board and the cards
- Add hook-and-loop dots to the pockets and the back of each card
Place the task happening now under FIRST. Place what happens next under THEN. Replace the cards as the routine progresses.

Learn about ProGood to know
- What goes in a kids daily schedule?
- The whole day in the order it happens: wake up, meals, school or activities, play, and the wind-down before bed. Start from the school, weekend or summer day and change anything.
- Do I need times?
- No. Many families use the picture cards without any clock. Add a start time only where it helps. On the Picture Day tab, untick Show times beside the preview to print the cards without any times.
- Which format should I print?
- Picture Day suits younger children who read pictures before words. Timed Day suits a day that runs on the clock. Print both if different people use them.
- How do the checkboxes and cut-out cards work?
- Choose checkboxes to tick each card when it is done, or cut-out cards to cut along the dashed lines and move finished cards into the Finished area.
